5 Injured in Car Accident at McLaughlin and Bacchus
SAN JOSE (May 29, 2018) – Several people were injured after an allegedly stolen vehicle crashed into another car at the intersection of McLaughlin Avenue and Bacchus Drive Monday evening, according to CBS News.
At about 10:13 p.m., on-duty patrol officers spotted a stolen 1995 blue Honda Accord traveling in the area of McLaughlin Avenue and Tully Road. The officers reportedly tried to initiate a vehicle stop, but the Accord driver fled northbound on McLaughlin with its lights off.
Investigators believed when the Accord approached Bacchus Drive, it crashed nearly head-on into a 2014 Ford C-Max. The impact forced the Accord to slam into a traffic pole before skidding to a stop.
Primary reports indicated four teenagers in the Accord, including the 13-year-old male driver, suffered injuries as a result of the crash.
