1 Seriously Injured in San Jose Car Crash on Southbound Highway 101 Near Highway 85
SAN JOSE, CA (August 27, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 101 near Highway 85 in San Jose.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Friday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 8:35 p.m.
CHP said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in San Jose. They crashed on southbound Highway 101, just south of the Highway 85 connector.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of the Highway 101 near Highway 85 to shut down following the car collision. Authorities are still determining the cause of the San Jose crash.
