2-VEHICLE CRASH ON US 101 IN SAN JOSE
SAN JOSE, Calif. (July 29, 2024) — At least one person was injured in a collision on US Highway 101 on Monday morning near the Yerba Buena Road on ramp in San Jose.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on the southbound US 101 at around 7:21 a.m. on July 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a white Nissan transit van and either a black sedan or an orange and red big rig truck were involved. A second semi-truck was stopped, just south of the crash scene but it’s unknown if it was involved.
The Nissan van had major front-end damage and someone in the vehicle required an ambulance due to injuries from the wreck.
Paramedics transported at least one person to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the Nissan and possibly another vehicle from the highway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the San Jose collision on Highway 101.
