Two Separate Crashes on I-280 Freeway in San Jose
SAN JOSE, Calif. (June 5, 2024) — Two separate San Jose collisions happened Wednesday afternoon on the southbound Interstate 280 Freeway, just south of the Winchester Boulevard off ramp.
The initial crash occurred at around 2:11 p.m. on June 5th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The first collision was near the center divider and involved a Lexus SUV that rear-ended a Honda Accord sedan. The Lexus had major front-end damage and the Honda had rear-end damage, the report said.
Three other motorists were involved in the second crash that was roughly 100 feet from the first collision on the right side of the freeway. At least one person suffered minor injuries and paramedics responded to help them.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the San Jose collisions on the 280 Freeway.
