Car Rear-ended on I-880 in San Jose
SAN JOSE, Calif. (Dec. 12, 2023) — A two-vehicle San Jose crash happened Tuesday morning on the northbound Interstate 880 Freeway at The Alameda.
The drivers of a gray Tesla and a gray Mazda collided at around 6:36 a.m. on Dec. 12th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the Tesla crashed into the back of the Mazda sedan due to unknown circumstances. The man driving the Tesla called 911 to report his vehicle crashed into a woman’s Mazda.
Both vehicles came to a stop in the No. 3 lane and then the drivers exited their vehicles, but it’s unknown if anyone was injured. Paramedics responded with an ambulance to transport anyone who was hurt.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the Tesla with major front-end damage and the Mazda with major rear-end damage from the freeway.
Investigators continue to work on the case.
