Cyclist Killed in Collision Near Tuers Road
San Jose, CA (May 3, 2022) – One person died following a traffic crash that occurred on Capitol Expressway Monday evening, the Mercury News reported.
Our sources indicated a man was riding a bicycle traveling in the streets of San Jose. Preliminary investigation revealed the cyclist attempted to cross the Capitol Expressway from north to south. While in the process, a 2007 Nissan sedan heading west on the highway struck the bicyclist. The catastrophic incident took place at about 9:12 p.m.

When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the victim lying on the ground. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the cyclist but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away at the scene. The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Nissan appeared unharmed after the horrible crash.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine liability in the deadly accident on Capitol Expressway.
