San Jose: Deadly Bicycle Accident on Highway 101

Cyclist Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Airport Parkway

San Jose, CA (March 4, 2023) – A bicyclist died following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 101 Saturday, March 4.

The ABC7 News reported a person riding a bike was hit by a vehicle in the northbound side of SR-101. Our sources indicated the horrible crash took place near Airport Parkway in San Jose.

Shortly after 9 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. Responding paramedics immediately attended to the bicyclist. Despite life-saving efforts performed by medical personnel, the victim sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

The California Highway Patrol group reported a portion of the highway was shut down to give way to the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to gather information to determine the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident on Highway 101 in San Jose.
