San Jose: Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Highway 280 Near Highway 101

Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near Highway 101

San Jose, CA (October 8, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate Highway 280 Saturday, the CBS and KRON4 News reported.

Officials said a male party run onto the Highway 101 ramp in East San Jose. Our sources indicated a passing Toyota Tacoma struck the pedestrian in the southbound side of I-280.

According to the article published online, the force from the impact sent the pedestrian airborne. Authorities said the victim landed in the opposite lane, where a Honda Accord hit him.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 280 in San Jose

Responding paramedics found the pedestrian unconscious. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly accident that happened on Highway 280 in San Jose.
