Bicycle Rider Killed in San Jose Crash Near Blossom Hill and Leigh
SAN JOSE, CA (March 26, 2023) – A crash killed a bicycle rider near Blossom Hill Road and Leigh Avenue in San Jose.
According to The Mercury News and KRON 4 News, the tragic accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the collision on March 26 shortly before 6:50 p.m.
San Jose police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck a woman riding a bicycle in the city. The driver hit her near the intersection of Blossom Hill Road and Leigh Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the bicyclist left lying on the ground. She sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the cyclist dead at the scene. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced the corner of Blossom Hill and Leigh to shut down for a time following the collision.
The cause of the fatal San Jose bicycle crash is still under investigation.
