San Jose Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash 33rd Street and McKee Road

Man Killed in San Jose Hit-and-Run Crash at 33rd Street and McKee Road

SAN JOSE, CA (July 17, 2021) – A man was killed after a hit-and-run crash at 33rd Street and McKee Road in San Jose.

According to The Mercury News and CBS San Francisco, the tragic accident occurred early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:32 a.m.

The incident began when a black 2015 Infiniti was travelling at a high rate of speed north on 33rd Street, approaching McKee Road, in San Jose.

At the same time, a black 2007 Honda was going east on McKee. The speeding driver ran a red light at the intersection and slammed into the Honda.

Speeding Driver Runs Red Light, Hits Another Car

Police said the man driving the Honda ended up ejected from his car as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.

The name of the deceased victim remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist in the Infiniti abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot.

Officers forced a one-block stretch of McKee Road near 33rd Street to shut down in both directions following the wreck. The fatal San Jose hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
