Motorcyclist Killed in San Jose Crash Near 7th Street and Alma Avenue

SAN JOSE, CA (September 10, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after a crash near 7th Street and Alma Avenue in San Jose.

According to the CBS San Francisco and KTVU News, the tragic accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:29 a.m.

The incident happened when a man was riding a motorcycle southbound on South 7th Street near Alma Avenue in San Jose. At the same time, a 2017 blue Ford pickup truck was trying to make a left turn.

Police said the Ford pulled directly in front of the rider and in the process, the two collided. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.

Motorcycle and Car Collide

They found the motorcyclist who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed him to a hospital, where he died.

The name of the deceased victim remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the male driver of the pickup truck stopped following the wreck.

The motorist stayed at the site and cooperated with the authorities. Officers forced the area of 7th Street and Alma Avenue to shut down for hours after the collision.
