2 Killed, 2 Injured in San Jose Pedestrian Crash at Almaden and Foxworthy
SAN JOSE, CA (January 18, 2022) – A pedestrian crash killed two people and injured two others at Almaden Expressway and Foxworthy Avenue in San Jose.
According to The Mercury News and KRON 4 News, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the collision at about 8:25 p.m.
San Jose police said the pedestrian incident happened when a vehicle struck three people. The driver hit them at the intersection of Almaden Expressway and Foxworthy Avenue.
Victims Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. Police affirmed that two of the victims sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
The third patient survived with life-threatening injuries. Medical personnel rushed the wounded parties to hospitals where two of them died.
Meanwhile, the motorist ended up hospitalized with minor wounds. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Police forced the area of Almaden and Foxworthy to shut down for a time following the incident. The cause of the fatal San Jose pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
