Pedestrian Killed in San Jose Crash Near Curtner and Canoas Garden Avenues
SAN JOSE, CA (January 11, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed after a crash near Curtner and Canoas Garden avenues in San Jose.
San Jose police said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city. The driver hit him near the intersection of Curtner and Canoas Garden avenues.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim lying on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to an area hospital, where he died. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police did not confirm if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. The cause of the fatal San Jose pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Curtner and Canoas Garden avenues to shut down for a time following the incident.
