Pedestrian Killed in San Jose Crash on Santa Teresa Boulevard
SAN JOSE, CA (September 3, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian along Santa Teresa Boulevard in the city of San Jose.
According to The Mercury News and SF Gate, the tragic accident took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the collision at about 8:45 p.m.
San police said the incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person in the 5800 block of Santa Teresa Boulevard.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived near the Santa Teresa High School. They found the victim who sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the patient dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced a stretch of Santa Teresa Boulevard to shut down for a time after the collision.
The cause of the fatal San Jose pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
