Motorcyclist Injured in Crash with Acura on I-880 Freeway
SAN JOSE, Calif. (Feb. 11, 2025) — A motorcycle accident happened Tuesday morning on the northbound Interstate 880 Freeway, just south of The Alameda.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 7:56 a.m. on Feb. 11th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a grey Acura MDX SUV collided with a blue BMW G310 motorcycle in the middle lanes of the 805 freeway. A third vehicle may have also been involved.
Paramedics responded and located the injured rider down in the number two lane surrounded by debris from the collision.
The driver in the Acura stepped and cooperated with the investigation. It’s unknown at this time what led up to the motorcycle accident on the 880 Freeway in San Jose.
Police issued a SigAlert and detectives are working to determine fault for the crash.
