Motorcyclist Injured in San Jose Crash on Highway 101 Tuesday
SAN JOSE (November 7, 2018) – A motorcyclist was injured after a traffic collision along Highway 101 on Tuesday morning, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
The accident took place shortly before 6:30 a.m.
CHP first logged the incident when a motorcycle and a vehicle collided for an unknown reason on northbound Highway 101 near the Hellyer Avenue off-ramp.
The car involved, described as a black Chevrolet Volt, ended up in the center divider following the wreck. Its female driver apparently remained at the scene after hitting the bike.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded and attended to the male rider who was found on the ground as a result of the crash.
The motorcyclist, whose name was not released, reportedly complained of pain upon impact. It was not specified in the dispatch whether the patient was treated at the crash site or was hospitalized for further aid.
Meanwhile, authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision.
