Passenger Injured in Collision Near Interstate Highway 280/880 Exchange
San Jose, CA (August 25, 2022) – One person died and another suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of S Monroe Street and Moorpark Avenue.
Auto vs. Motorcycle Accident at Monroe Street and Moorpark Avenue
The CBS News reported a man was riding a 2001 Ducati motorbike heading east on Moorpark. When the motorcyclist approached the intersection at Monroe, he collided with a 2013 Nissan traveling west on Moorpark. Preliminary investigation revealed the sedan made a left turn onto Monroe and drove into the path of a speeding motorcyclist.
Shortly after the incident, emergency crews responded to the area near the Interstate Highway 280/880 exchange. Paramedics attended to s juvenile female passenger in the Nissan. According to the article published online, medical personnel transported the injured party to a hospital for further treatment. Personal information on the juvenile remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Several factors surrounding the incident have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened at Monroe Street and Moorpark Avenue.
