
Motorcyclist Injured in San Jose Crash on Interstate 280 Near Highway 101
SAN JOSE, CA (March 17, 2023) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a crash on the Interstate 280 near Highway 101 in San Jose.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the accident on March 17 at about 8:41 a.m.
The incident happened when the rider of a Ducati motorcycle and a vehicle collided for an unknown reason in San Jose. The two crashed on the northbound Interstate 280, just north of Highway 101.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the motorcyclist who complained of pain to their ankle as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the No. 1 northbound lane of the Interstate 280 to shut down near Highway 101 following the wreck. The cause of the San Jose crash is still under investigation.
