San Jose Pedestrian Accident Almaden Expressway and Ironwood Drive
Fatal Crash at San Jose Intersection
SAN JOSE, Calif. (March 26, 2025) – A pedestrian died in a car accident Saturday night in San Jose at Almaden Expressway and Ironwood Drive.
The deadly collision became the seventh traffic fatality of the year. It occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 22nd, according to the San Jose Police Department.
Investigators report a man was driving a red 2009 Kia sedan was traveling southbound on Almaden Expressway when the car hit the pedestrian, police said.
Paramedics responded and pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene. The victim’s name will be released by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
Meanwhile, the driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities do not suspect alcohol and or drugs were factors.
