Pedestrian Severely Injured in San Jose Crash at Capitol Expressway and Story Road
SAN JOSE, CA (March 7, 2022) – A pedestrian was severely injured after a crash at Capitol Expressway and Story Road in San Jose.
According to the KRON 4 News and NBC Bay Area, the accident took place on Monday evening. Officers reported the collision at around 5:55 p.m.
San Jose police said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city. The car hit the person at the intersection of Capitol Expressway and Story Road.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up suffering from life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital and listed them in stable condition. The report did not release the name of the wounded party.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver stopped, stayed at the site and cooperated with the officials. Officers forced the area of Capitol and Story to shut down following the incident.
The cause of the San Jose pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
