Pedestrian Struck, Killed on I-680 Freeway
SAN JOSE, Calif. (Oct. 6, 2021) — A San Jose pedestrian accident on the Interstate 680 Freeway happened Wednesday morning, just north of Jackson Avenue.
Additionally, multiple vehicles struck the person who is believed to be a homeless man, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

A driver in a silver Toyota Sienna called 911 to report they struck the pedestrian while he was crossing the roadway. The driver stopped on the right shoulder at Jackson Avenue and awaited the arrival of police. A second driver called authorities to report they too hit the man in the roadway.
Also, the victim died immediately following the pedestrian accident on Interstate 680 Freeway.
Meanwhile, police did not mention the age of the victim and did not release his name.
Police closed down northbound traffic on the I-680 and diverted motorists to Jackson Avenue, police said. Police issued a SigAlert at 6:02 a.m.
Investigators seek to determine fault for the crash.
