2 Injured in San Jose Pedestrian Crash Near Reed and Almaden
SAN JOSE, CA (August 9, 2022) – A pedestrian crash near Reed Street and Almaden Avenue left two women injured in San Jose.
According to The Mercury News and CBS San Francisco, the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at about 4:03 p.m.
San Jose police said the incident happened when a vehicle struck a female pedestrian and another woman in the city. The driver hit them in the area of West Reed Street and Almaden Avenue.
Women Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the two women who sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the patients to a hospital for treatment. The names of the wounded victims and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist ended up hospitalized with minor injuries. Officers forced the corner of Reed and Almaden to shut down following the incident.
The cause of the San Jose pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
