Pedestrian Critically Injured in Crash
SAN JOSE, Calif. (July 26, 2023) — A major-injury pedestrian accident in San Jose happened Wednesday morning on Lincoln Avenue.
The collision occurred before 4:35 a.m. on July 26th, near El Camino Health Urgent Care facility, according to a report by the San Jose Police Media Relations.
San Jose police responded to the scene where a vehicle struck the pedestrian in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue near Northrup Street and Savaker Avenue.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured person to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries, but there are no further details at this time. The report did not release the victim’s age or gender.
Meanwhile, police are investigating the cause of the crash and liability. Authorities closed down Lincoln Avenue in both directions between Auzerais Avenue and Parkmoor Avenue.
