Pedestrian Injured in San Juan Bautista Hit-and-Run on Highway 25 Near Bolsa
SAN JUAN BAUTISTA, CA (January 28, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian near Highway 25 and Bolsa Road in San Juan Bautista.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place late Friday night. Officers reported the collision shortly after 11 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in San Juan Bautista. The driver hit him on northbound Highway 25 near the intersection with Bolsa Road.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the area of Miller. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries he sustained in the incident. The name of the wounded party and his condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced the northbound side of Highway 25 to shut down near Bolsa following the collision.
The San Juan Bautista hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
