Motorcyclist Killed in San Juan Capistrano Crash on 5 Freeway Near Junipero
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA (April 11, 2023) – A crash killed a motorcyclist on the 5 Freeway near Junipero Serra Road in San Juan Capistrano.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the tragic accident on Monday night. Officers reported the wreck on April 10 at around 9:22 p.m.
The incident happened when the motorcycle rider and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed on the northbound 5 Freeway near Junipero Serra Road in San Juan Capistrano.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene. They found the motorcyclist lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver stopped or stayed at the site following the wreck. Officers forced the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway to shut down near Junipero after the accident.
The cause of the fatal San Juan Capistrano crash is still under investigation.
