Motorcyclist Killed in San Juan Capistrano Crash on Ortega Highway
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO (July 14, 2018) – A fatal motorcycle collision took place along Ortega Highway near the Orange-Riverside county border on Friday evening, according to The Orange County Register.
The accident was reported at approximately 7:20 p.m., 14 miles east of Interstate 5 Freeway.
As per the article, Orange County Fire Authority and California Highway Patrol said a man in his 20s was riding a motorcycle on Ortega Highway when for an unknown reason he collided with a minivan.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and pronounced the rider dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the two men in the minivan were unharmed in the crash. Ortega Highway was forced to shut down in both directions as a result of the wreck.
The eastbound portion of the highway was reopened just after 9 p.m. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
