
3-Vehicle Collision at San Leandro Intersection
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (Jan. 22, 2025) — A multi-vehicle San Leandro crash happened Wednesday afternoon at Lewelling Boulevard and Embers Way near the entrance to the Nimitz 880 Freeway.
The three-vehicle collision occurred at 1:23 p.m. on Jan. 22nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a red Honda, a gray Volkswagen Jetta, and a silver Nissan 4-door sedan were involved. However, it’s unknown what led up to the crash on Lewelling Boulevard.
Traffic Accident Results in Major Damage
The San Leandro Police Department responded to the scene and reported the Honda and Volkswagen both had major front-end damage and were blocking the intersection. The Nissan had major right front damage and all three vehicles were towed.
Meanwhile, paramedics treated at least one person for minor injuries, but there are no further details at this time.
Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Lewelling Boulevard in San Leandro.
