Uber Passenger Killed in Collision on Davis Street Onramp
San Leandro, CA (December 14, 2022) – A 31-year-old woman died following a car accident that occurred in the area of Interstate 880 and Davis Street Sunday, the KRON4 News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed the woman took an Uber to work early Sunday morning. According to the article published online, the Uber car collided with a wrong-way vehicle on the onramp of Davis Street. No immediate information was available on the description of the wrong-way vehicle involved in the horrible crash.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the female passenger in the Uber unconscious. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Authorities added the driver of the Uber sustained injuries to their hand as a result of the incident.
