1 Injured in San Leandro Hit-and-Run Crash at Carolyn and Foothill

SAN LEANDRO, CA (November 16, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Carolyn Street and Foothill Boulevard in San Leandro.

The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Sunday, November 14. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 11:54 a.m.

The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed at the intersection of Carolyn Street and Foothill Boulevard in San Leandro.

2 Vehicles Collide

CHP described one of the cars involved as a red Ford Focus which sustained major front-end damage upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Interstate 580.

They found an one occupant of the Ford who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck.

The report did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the area.

Officers forced the intersection of Carolyn and Foothill to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the San Leandro hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
