2-Vehicle Crash on I-580 Freeway
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (July 21, 2024) — A major injury crash happened Sunday night on the eastbound Interstate 580 Freeway and 164th Avenue off ramp in San Leandro, California.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at 6:32 p.m. on July 21st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a black SUV overturned in a collision with another motorist and a woman from the vehicle had complaints of back pain.
Paramedics responded and located the driver of one vehicle breathing, but seriously injured.
The person was transported to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Meanwhile, police issued a SigAlert due to the traffic and all lanes being blocked on the off ramp.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on the 580 Freeway in San Leandro.
