Pedestrian Hurt in San Leandro Accident on Highway 185
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (March 30, 2021) — A San Leandro pedestrian accident happened Tuesday morning on State Route 185 at Elgin Street.
A driver struck the pedestrian about 7:19 a.m. on March 30th, according to the California Highway Patrol. There are traffic lights controlling this intersection and crosswalks in all four directions. Police did not mention what led up to the pedestrian collision.
The CHP stated the pedestrian had complaints of pain and minor injuries. Meanwhile, paramedics responded to treat the person at the scene, but it’s unknown if the person went to the hospital. The injured person, who was not identified, is expected to survive. The report did not provide the age or gender of the pedestrian. The driver stopped and is cooperating with authorities.
Investigators will determine fault for the crash after they piece together evidence and speak with all involved parties.
