SAN LORENZO, California (September 6, 2016) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision on the Interstate 880 Freeway Tuesday evening, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.

CHP first logged the incident when the motorcycle rider and white Honda accord collided shortly after 6:30 p.m. The crash occurred on the northbound 880 Freeway at Hesperia Boulevard off-ramp.

As per the report log, fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital with major injuries. The name and condition of the patient at this time remained unknown.

Meanwhile, the dispatch mentioned that a Mercedes and a Toyota appeared to have been involved in the wreck, however it was not immediately confirmed.

Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
