2 Injured in Car Crash on Highway 101 Near Avila Beach Drive
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, CA (April 3, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash along Highway 101 near Avila Beach.
According to an article published by The Tribune, the accident occurred on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 3:16 p.m. in San Luis Obispo County.
The San Luis Obispo County Fire Department said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed on the southbound side of Highway 101, just north of Avila Beach Drive.
Multi-Vehicle Collision in San Luis Obispo County
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found a total of five individuals involved in the collision.
Medical personnel then took two patients to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not release their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers shut down the southbound lanes of Highway 101 following the crash. Authorities are still determining the cause of the wreck.
