2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (March 31, 2022) — A two-vehicle San Luis Obispo crash on the northbound Highway 101 happened Thursday morning near the North Marsh Street off ramp.
The accident occurred about 11 a.m. on March 31st between a silver Toyota Prius and a Toyota Sienna, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the Prius crashed into the back of the Sienna due to unknown circumstances. Other motorists pulled over to help those involved. Bystanders helped one person get out of a smoking vehicle.
The San Luis Obispo Police Department responded, as well as, paramedics to the crash scene. At least one person suffered minor injuries in the wreck.
Meanwhile, the vehicles blocked the No. 2 lane and required tow trucks to remove them from the scene. The Prius had front-end damage and the Sienna had rear-end damage.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash.
