Passenger Hospitalized After Collision at Foothill Boulevard and Tassajara Drive Sunday
San Luis Obispo, CA (September 6, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a suspected DUI car crash in the area of Foothill Boulevard and Tassajara Drive.
According to FOX 26 News, a speeding vehicle was seen heading west on Foothill Boulevard. When the vehicle approached the intersection at Tassajara Drive, he passed a car that stopped for the red light.
Officials said the speeding vehicle clipped the front end of another car. The collision caused the speeding vehicle to drift across all lanes. Per article published online, the suspect vehicle continued spinning and ended up hitting a PG&E power pole.
The article published online mentioned the suspect vehicle hit several more parked cars before coming to a rest in the front yard of a residence.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the location. Paramedics found a passenger with injuries in the suspect vehicle. Due to the condition of the patient, an ambulance transported them to a hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, investigators mentioned the driver showed signs of intoxication. Police later arrested the man for felony DUI.
Further investigation on the DUI crash in San Luis Obispo is underway.
