At Least 1 Injured in Suspected Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 1
LOCATION: San Luis Obispo
DATE OF ACCIDENT: Monday, April 8th
April 11, 2019 – Injuries were reported following an alleged hit-and-run collision on Highway 1 near Gilradi Road Monday.
According to KSBY News, an unidentified man pulled over on the right-hand shoulder of the highway after his car got disabled. Then, another motorist pulled over directly in front of the disabled vehicle, apparently to render assistance. The second motorist accidentally struck the driver of the disabled car who was at the time standing in front of the car looking at the engine.
Officials said the victim was pinned between the two cars. Following the collision, the driver of the second vehicle apparently fled the scene before police arrived.
Minor Injury Car Accident in San Luis Obispo Monday
Per article, the victim sustained minor injuries to his legs as a result of the accident. The name of the patient was not immediately disclosed.
