Elderly Couple Possible Hurt in Collision on Ronald Packard Parkway Tuesday
San Marcos, CA (August 3, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a car accident that occurred Tuesday on State Route 78, also known as Ronald Packard Parkway.
Officials said a black SUV crashed in the westbound side of State Route 78 in San Marcos. According to the CHP dispatch, the black SUV rolled over onto the right-hand shoulder of the highway near Las Posas Road exit.
Shortly after 11:50 a.m., emergency teams arrived at the accident scene. First responders reportedly found an elderly couple involved in the wreck. Per CHP log, paramedics immediately checked the physical condition of the elderly couple.

Authorities later confirmed the incident resulted in major injuries. However, it remained unclear whether the couple were the victims in the collision. Several factors surrounding the car crash in San Marco have not been revealed thus far. Given that, investigators continue to work to determine the precise circumstances that led to the road accident.
