Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision in San Marcos Involving Tesla and Fallen Tree
SAN MARCOS (May 11, 2025) — A two-vehicle San Marcos crash sent two people to the hospital Sunday afternoon after a Tesla collided with another driver and then a tree at Nordahl Road and Montiel Road.

Emergency calls were first received around 1:20 p.m. on May 11th, prompting a rapid response from the San Marcos Fire Department, the Escondido Fire Department (EFD), and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office (SDSO). First responders arrived on the scene at 640 Nordahl Road shortly after 1:22 p.m.

According to authorities, the Tesla and a grey vehicle collided at the intersection, causing the Tesla to veer off the roadway into some palm trees. One of the trees fell onto a parked vehicle nearby. In total, three vehicles were damaged and two people sustained moderate injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Officials have not released further details regarding the cause of the crash or the identities of those involved. However, the intersection experienced temporary closures as crews cleared debris and investigated the scene.
Finally, the cause of the San Marcos collision on Nordahl Road remains under investigation.
