San Marcos Crash SR-78 Near Nordahl Road in San Diego

Woman Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Ronald Packard Parkway

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Feb. 11, 2025) — A woman suffered a serious injury Tuesday in a crash on state Route 78, just east of Nordahl Road in the San Marcos area of San Diego County.

The multi-vehicle collision occurred in the eastbound slow lanes of SR-78 at around 1 p.m. on Feb. 11th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials were alerted to the crash involving a large truck and possibly two other motorists. Firefighters responded and located an elderly woman from one of the vehicles who had a head injury and was wandering in traffic lanes. They managed to get her off the roadway and to the right shoulder and sit down.

It’s unknown if the woman was hospitalized after the collision.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on SR-78 in San Marcos.
