1 Killed in San Marcos Crash on Interstate 15 and Deer Springs Road
SAN MARCOS, CA (October 15, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person on the Interstate 15 and Deer Springs Road in San Marcos.
According to an article published by the San Diego Union-Tribune, the tragic accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:14 a.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in San Marcos. They crashed on the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway near Deer Springs Road.
2 Cars collide
The California Highway Patrol described the cars as a black truck and red sedan. One of them rolled over due to the impact of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene and found a damaged guardrail. They soon pronounced one individual dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the cause of the fatal San Marcos crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced the northbound lanes of the Interstate 15 to shut down for a time near Deer Springs following the wreck.
