Motorcyclist Seriously in Crash Highway 101 Near San Martin Avenue
SAN MARTIN, CA (May 20, 2022) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Highway 101 in San Martin.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:39 p.m.
The incident began when a white Honda 4-door sedan cut off the motorcycle rider for an unknown reason on southbound Highway 101 in San Martin.
CHP said the motorcyclist continued and then struck the rear of a black Honda. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene, just north of San Martin Avenue.
Motorcycle Rider Hits Car
Medical personnel found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP added that the driver of the rear-ended car pulled over following the wreck.
The motorist in the white Honda did not stop. Officers forced the No. 1 lane of southbound Highway 101 to shut down after the collision.
The cause of the San Martin crash is still under investigation.
