1 Injured in San Mateo County Hit-and-Run Crash at 5th Avenue and El Camino Real
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA (October 7, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at 5th Avenue and El Camino Real in San Mateo County.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Wednesday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 8:08 a.m.
The accident happened on October 6 when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed at the intersection of 5th Avenue and El Camino Real in San Mateo County.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Stanford Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP added that a driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area. The cause of the hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the intersection of 5th Avenue and El Camino Real to shut down following the wreck.
