Pedestrian Struck, Killed in Richmond Car Accident
RICHMOND, Calif. (April 1, 2021) — A pedestrian died Thursday morning in a car accident at San Pablo Dam Road, just east of May Road.
The fatal crash happened at 7:24 a.m. on April 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a blue Honda sedan struck the victim and stopped on San Pablo Dam Road. The victim was laying in the slow lane when fire officials and paramedics arrived.

The pedestrian, unfortunately, died at the scene within a few minutes after the crash. The age, gender and identity of the victim is publicly unknown at this time.
Meanwhile, authorities with the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department and the CHP are heading up an investigation into the collision to determine fault. The CHP incident number is 00470. Witnesses are urged to contact authorities.
