Man, 19, Killed in San Pablo Hit-and-Run Near Giant and John
SAN PABLO, CA (January 8, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian near Giant Road and John Avenue in San Pablo.

According to the East Bay Times and NBC Bay Area, the tragic accident took place late Friday night. Officers reported the collision on January 7 at about 10:12 p.m.
Police said a 2005 Dodge Magnum struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason. The car hit him near the intersection of Giant Road and John Avenue in San Pablo.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the 19-year-old man left lying on the ground. He sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision.
Driver Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the Dodge did not stop to render aid to the man and fled the area. They soon located the suspect vehicle on Enterprise Avenue in Richmond.
Officers arrested the motorist on charges of felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter. The fatal San Pablo hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Police forced the corner of Giant Road and John Avenue to shut down for a time following the collision. Anyone with information can call the police at (510) 215-3150.
