Multi-Vehicle Collision on Eastshore Freeway Tuesday
San Pablo, CA (December 9, 2021) – On December 7, a suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on Interstate 80, also known as Eastshore Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol group reported multiple vehicles collided in the westbound side of I-80 near the Hilltop Drive offramp. Officials described the automobiles involved in the wreck as a white Toyota Tacoma pickup, and a Mercedes car.
According to the CHP dispatch, a third vehicle was involved in the wreck. However, the driver apparently did not stop after the collision and fled the scene.

The accident took place around 8 p.m. When medical personnel arrived at the site, they immediately rendered aid to all possible victims. Authorities later confirmed at least one person suffered injuries as a result of the incident.
Several factors surrounding the crash remained unclear. Further investigation on the hit-and-run collision on Interstate 80 in San Pablo is underway.
