Amtrak Train Hits Truck Stuck on Railroad Tracks
SAN PABLO, Calif. (November 23, 2021) – An Amtrak train crashed into a semi-truck carrying five cars Monday night at Chesley Avenue and Rumrill Boulevard.
The collision happened at 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 22nd on Chesley Avenue, according to KRON 4 News.
Both the truck driver and train engineer suffered minor injuries in the collision, but none of the 30 passengers aboard the train were hurt in the crash, the KRON 4 news report said.

The truck reportedly became stuck on the railroad tracks prior to the collision. The westbound Amtrak train then struck the semi-truck and caused the train engine to come off the tracks and the cars and debris to scatter for several yards.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine liability for the train crash.
