1 Injured in San Rafael Crash on Highway 101 Near Lucas Valley Road
SAN RAFAEL, CA (November 22, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 101 near Lucas Valley Road in San Rafael.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck took place on Monday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 2:51 p.m.
CHP determined that two vehicles collided in San Rafael. For an unknown reason, they crashed on northbound Highway 101, just north of Lucas Valley Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who complained of pain as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Kaiser Permanente San Rafael Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the San Rafael crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 101 to shut down near Lucas Valley following the wreck.
