Multi-Vehicle San Rafael Accident on US Highway 101
SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (Oct. 21, 2021) — A multi-vehicle San Rafael crash happened Thursday afternoon on US Highway 101 at Freitas Parkway.
The 1:37 p.m. collision on Oct. 21st involved up to five motorists including a tan Toyota, a silver Toyota, a green Toyota Tundra pickup truck, a gold minivan, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The report stated a tan Toyota crossed multiple lanes before it T-boned a grey Toyota. Subsequently, other vehicles also collided following the initial crash.
It’s unknown what led up to the San Rafael crash on Highway 101 at this time. The vehicles blocked the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lane of Highway 101.
Paramedics responded to the scene to help at least one person who complained of injuries, but there are no specifics.
CHP investigators seek to determine fault for the crash. It’s unknown if any citations or arrests were made.
