Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in San Rafael Hit-and-Run at Mission and Hetherton
SAN RAFAEL, CA (November 19, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash seriously injured a motorcyclist at Mission Avenue and Hetherton Street in San Rafael.
According to an article published by the Marin Independent Journal, the accident took place last month. It happened on October 16.
An SUV struck the motorcycle rider for an unknown reason in the city. San Rafael police said the two crashed at the intersection of Mission Avenue and Hetherton Street.
Driver Hits Rider, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist hurt. The victim sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the female driver of the car did not stop to render aid and fled the area. They soon located and arrested her on suspicion of hit-and-run resulting in injury.
Police shut down the corner of Mission and Hetherton to gather evidence of the wreck. The San Rafael hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
