Pedestrian Seriously Injured in San Rafael Crash at Lincoln and Second
SAN RAFAEL, CA (March 2, 2023) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at Lincoln Avenue and Second Street in San Rafael.
According to the Marin Independent Journal and KRON 4 News, the accident took place on Thursday morning. Officers reported the collision on March 2 at around 7:15 a.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in downtown San Rafael. Police said the driver hit the person at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Second Street.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim hurt. The pedestrian ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The reports did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the collision. Officers forced Lincoln Avenue to shut down between Second and Third streets after the incident.
The cause of the San Rafael pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
